Big Thursday Tailgate
Name: Big Thursday TailgateDate: August 21, 2014Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDTEvent Description:Join with the Cheraw Chamber and Chesterfield General Hospital as we celebrate the return of FOOTBALL and all things related. The Braves Football Team, along with the coaches and Cheerleaders, will be at the event. The Chesterfield Golden Rams will also be in attendance this year, so get ready for some home town rivalries! WCRE's George Adams and The Saturday Morning Quarterback will be on hand to DJ and play our favorite fight songs. This year's event is the night before the opening week game of Cheraw v/s Chesterfield, so we hope to see a big group out! Or our regular Carolina/Clemson rivalries are of course welcome too. Just pull up and set your tailgate up!
You may want to enter the dessert, wings or rib cook-off so you can have the local fame that goes along with being named the champ? (I hear there's a fruit tart begging for some competition!) There will also be a corn hole tournament brought to you by Oslo's Spirits and Fine Foods. ($5 per entry in the food competition, as well as an entry fee for corn hole tournament) There will also be prizes for best overall tailgate, so bring your best set up!
Too much fun to miss! This tailgate event is family friendly with face painting by the Cheraw Arts Commission. Bring your coolers and your grills and fire up a great night with great friends in the Prettiest Town in Dixie!
$10 parking pass per car (up to 6 people) $3 per person to walk in.
Parking spaces are limited, so purchase yours now. Attendees from last year's event have first access to parking choices and early purchasers will get spots on the basis of availability at the time of purchase. Purchased spots will carry over to next year.
