The membership of the Greater Cheraw Chamber includes individuals, business, industry, schools and public agencies. This membership elects a Board of Directors, composed of one-year and two-year directors. Each director serves on at least one of the following committees: Executive, Finance, Retail, Industry, Schools, Membership and Special Events. The Executive Committee includes the Chairman of the Board, First and Second Vice-Chairman of the Board, the Past Chairman of the Board and the Treasurer of the Board. The Board employs the Chamber office staff to provide services for the membership. The Chamber is financed by the membership through their investment of annual dues that are based on type of firm and number of employees. The Board of Directors adopts an annual operating budget for expenses based on projected revenues from membership and special events. Chamber of Commerce membership is an investment in the community as legitimate business expenses and may be deducted for tax purposes. |
